‘And The Award Goes To…’

The Oscar gowns that scooped the style awards

After a fairly mediocre run of award season fashion we were very much looking forward to seeing what the 2012 Oscars had in store. Thankfully Hollywood’s finest did not disappoint, and we finally got our red carpet glamour fix with an array of gorgeous gowns and their equally gorgeous hosts on display for our beady little eyes to feast on!

1.    Gwyneth in Tom Ford…

Always preened and polished to perfection Ms Paltrow DEFINITELY didn’t disappoint with her Tom Ford extravaganza! The soft colour, clean lines and unusual cape addition put her in a league of her own.

2.    Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton…

In contrast to Gwyneth’s angelic number Michelle added some spice to the mix with her fabulous vibrant red Louis Vuitton gown with peplum waist.

(3)    Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad…

J-Lo was seen wearing not one, but two Murad creations throughout the night however; it is the second beaut which she wore to the Vanity Fair after party which really caught our attention. We love the deep plunging neckline, rich colour and sexy sequins!

( 4)    Kristen Wiig in J Mendel…

Bridesmaids star Kristen looked positively lovely in her girly but sophisticated J Mendel dress. We particularly enjoyed the simplicity of her hair and make-up styling – perfect for an understated, classic look!

(5)    Rose Byrne in Vivienne Westwood…

Kristen’s Bridesmaids co-star Rose Byrne also got us talking with her dazzling Westwood design. ‘Playing it safe’ in black, Rose looked beautiful in her sequin stunner!
