In May London’s leading aesthetic and cosmetic clinic, The Cadogan Clinic, launched a brand new mole check facility to help protect the public against skin cancer. This new and revolutionary service offers patients the chance to have their moles and lesions checked and removed seamlessly in less than 24 hours. Patients have access to a dedicated team of leading dermatologists and surgeons, all under one roof, offering immediate peace of mind and reassurance. To coincide with the launch, PHA outlined a targeted social media and digital influencer strategy which would both increase awareness about skin cancer and the unique service which the clinic provides, to ultimately drive patient sign ups.
ORIGINALITY AND CREATIVITY
And so the #MoleCheck #loveyourskin campaign was born! PHA developed an integrated campaign which went live during Melanoma Awareness Month, to boost awareness of the mole mapping service at Cadogan Clinic. The most significant element of this campaign was influencer outreach, and PHA invited a number of vloggers and bloggers to experience the #MoleCheck service with a Consultant Dermatologist first hand.
STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENTATION
As the Mole Check service is the first of its kind, and the only Mole Check service endorsed by the British Skin Foundation, we wanted to create an interactive and educational campaign for the general public. We took it back to basics and answered the questions – what is a mole check? How can I spot a troublesome mole, and how do I know if I am suitable?
We also wanted to make the campaign relatable, therefore we were very strategic in terms of influencer partnerships, choosing those who have had previous concerns about moles and sun exposure or have spoken openly about a history of skin cancer in their family.
PHA secured a number of partnerships with prolific and niche bloggers including Lily Pebbles, Heroine in Heels and Sunny in London. Content took a variety of formats, from standalone blog posts to ‘up close and personal’ video content hosted on YouTube.
- Increased patient sign ups
- Generated high profile influencer engagement and positive reviews such as:
“If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll know that I like to speak up about the subject of moles. I recently tried out the brand new service at the Cadogan Clinic and I was incredibly impressed. I visited as a brand new patient to experience the Mole Mapping service and will now be going there annually for my checks.” – Lily Pebbles
