Jacqueline Gold's weekly #WOW twitter Competition
In June 2011, Jacqueline launched a campaign to support women in business, an area she is incredibly passionate about. To raise awareness and increase Jacqueline’s twitter following, we managed a twitter competition asking women to submit their businesses. The three winners also receive a #WOW badge, which they can display on their website.
To raise awareness and reward women in business
Originality and Creativity
Jacqueline was one of the first influential business women to host her own twitter competition, and the #WOW community has continued to grow and spread the word about it each week.
Strategy and Implementation
Each week we send out a series of promotional tweets to prompt female business owners to take part in the competition and share the information with their followers.
Results and Evaluation
The success of #WOW has been fantastic; each week Jacqueline receives in excess of 200 entries from many incredible businesses. In addition to this, Jacqueline’s twitter following has increased at a rapid rate and is now close to 50,000 followers!
For me #WOW is about inspiring and celebrating women in business. There are so many great businesses launching every day and whilst it's an extremely exciting time, it can also be a very nerve wracking and lonely time. I hope that #WOW offers a place for women to network and celebrate each others successes, I know that each week I am so proud of all the incredible women that enter and I am thrilled to see so many women achieving such great things.
