School’s out, and it’s time to have some fun. From ziplines to rollercoasters, trampoline parks and more, we take a look at some of the best attractions to visit this summer break.
Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve is an award-winning wildlife attraction in Kent. This UK’s original and authentic safari experience gives you an animal adventure unlike any zoo. Spot over 90 species and 766 animals roam within the 600 acres. Travel from the plains of Africa and Asia to watch the big cats; gorillas and primates roam free and discover the land that time forgot in Dinosaur Forest!
Brighton Palace Pier, Brighton
On a hot summer’s day, what’s better than feeling the coastal breeze and cooling down by the sea? Perhaps if the kids were looked after too? Luckily, Brighton Pier offers both- as they say it’s a spot for some ‘fab family fun’! With 16 food stalls, including the ‘Palace Pizza’ (our personal favourite) and various rides, the pier has something for everyone and you’re guaranteed a brilliant day out.

Perfect for a rainy summer day and with 150 trampolines all in one room, we’re jumping for joy at the idea of this fun park. You can spend hours bouncing around or compete in a game of dodgeball and other fitness games for all ages. If all that wasn’t enough, there’s a coffee and pizza bar for when you think it’s time to cool off!
With parks in various locations across the UK such as Sussex, Cheshire and London, Go Ape offers the luxury of convenience and a monkey load of fun. One for adrenaline-junkies as guests spend an hour climbing obstacles, canopy-exploring, all ending with not one, but two zip lines.
Potentially one better suited for families with younger children, Paulton’s Park has Dinosaur, Peppa-Pig and even ‘Little Africa’ parks to give that summer-safari feel. Located next to the New Forest, the park offers tonnes of fun in beautiful surroundings.
A theme park, zoo AND a crazy golf course- a kid’s paradise! Drayton Manor is also home to ‘Thomas Land’ which has 25 rides based on Thomas the Tank Engine, making it an instant favourite.
Legoland houses countless rides and Lego- attractions and is best for toddlers. They can see the Lego giraffes, crocodiles and marvel at the new 500,000 Lego-piece death star, one of the biggest models ever created for Legoland.
Skiing? In summer? Yes, you heard it right, this Fulham-based indoor ski centre means you can cool off whilst hitting the slopes, and with instructors on hand, it could even be time for the kids to have their hand at some faster paced skiing in time for winter.
The theme park is set amongst 50 acres of coastal parkland contains the exhilarating ‘wipeout’ rollercoaster. Pleasurewood Hills is cheaper than many other theme parks and has activities to suit both younger and older visitors making it the perfect family day out.
Flamingo Land was made for flamingo fans – can you tell? But there’s so much more to enjoy, including over 129 species of animals in the park, including meerkats, macaws, baboons and penguins. But don’t forget the theme park, it includes rollercoasters, water rides and lost rivers.
