Tackling misconceptions and promoting widespread adoption of zero-emissions vehicles

Octopus Electric Vehicles is an EV leasing company with a mission to tackle air pollution in the UK and educate consumers about affordable EV access.

Over the course of 12 months, we established Octopus Electric vehicles and CEO Fiona Haworth firmly at the heart of mainstream media conversation around electric vehicles, their benefits, and the affordability and access for consumers.

Our press office spanned news generation and timely reactive commentary, corporate news, technology partnership liaison, feature and case study development, and profiling for the business and its leadership team. We also handled a series of six consumer and trade events that directly engaged consumers and local press, and our B2B campaign launching the ‘Go Green Car Scheme’ educated business customers about staff incentive schemes, technology implementation and employee tax incentives to support reaching net-zero.

All activity celebrated the positives of electric vehicles and cutting-edge UK charging technology versus traditional car ownership. A particular focus was paid to highlighting government EV incentives.

Ultimately, we delivered national cut through to increase brand awareness, improving online visibility and authority to support the sales team. The solid media relationships we built for the team made them a go-to commentators on motor industry figures, government EV incentives and EV-related news.
