Twickenham stadium, the home of England Rugby hosted the first ever obstacle race inside a stadium in the UK

We worked with Spartan, the world’s leading obstacle course race and endurance brand to launch “Stadion” the first 5k obstacle event in the UK to be held in a major sports venue.

To announce the launch of the event, we arranged for a photoshoot to take place inside the stadium and created a series of iconic images to sell into media alongside a traditional press release, leading to widespread pick up in national, London regional press and endurance trade media.

Our next task was to set about recruiting journalists and influencers to take part in the race and securing pre event coverage in relevant titles to drive sign up’s to race.

We secured over 40 pieces of press coverage around the Stadion campaign and had 14 journalists and influencers take part in event from media outlets including the Evening Standard, Men’s Fitness and the Daily Mirror.

The event sold out with over 5,000 people taking part. Spartan had held events in the UK for the previous 9 years and had developed a loyal community of racers but the sell out at Twickenham further strengthen the brand in the UK and at the same time, opened up events to whole new world of consumer.
